BREAKING NEWS: TRAGEDY IN WELL-KNOWN SALEM FAMILY
In a bizarre twist of fate, Samantha Gene Brady, daughter of renowned psychiatrist Marlena Evans Craig Brady Black and respected Salem police captain Roman Brady, was killed last night only months after narrowly escaping lethal injection on death row. Ms. Brady was apparently driving home her roommate, the celebrated boxer Austin Reed, from the hospital after being released late last night when the car she was driving suddenly and inexplicably exploded, killing both driver and passenger. The medical examiner, a childhood friend of Ms. Brady's sister, has not released his final report but does state that he sees no evidence of foul play in the matter. The families of Brady and Reed have both issued press statements expressing their remorse at their beloved relatives' deaths. Our sources have learned that Ms. Brady's child, William Roberts Roberts, is in a state of shock over his mother's death and has been mute for the last several hours. A double funeral has been scheduled for next Friday at St. Luke's and all of Salem's high society are expected to attend, with the exception of the former Mrs. Carrie Brady Reed, who last night left the country for a long vacation with her longtime friend and former Chief of Staff at University Hospital, Dr. Michael Horton.
In a related story, several nearly-brand-new pieces of athletic equipment, including a full-size sparring ring, will be auctioned off Friday morning at the home of Ms. Kate Roberts. The public is invited to attend.
